People and Trucks
by Yannis Papadimitropoulos

As a father of two sons and a daughter, I too must confess how I am moved each time I see how the new generation - i.e. the new blood - gets into the 'veins' of a traditional company and 'makes the heart beat stronger'.This particular feeling overcame me as I visited the kiosks of the '1st Professional Automobile Exhibition' about which I write in detail in this issue's cover story. In nearly every kiosk my attention was drawn to a son/daughter following in the footsteps of their creative parent. What greater satisfaction could there be than for a successful businessman to know that his creation will not be cut short but will be carried on under his direction and that of his children? Is there a greater joy for a parent than seeing his son or daughter surpass him? Naturally the process takes a great deal of time, as experience can't be gained third hand but only through the personal experiences of each separate individual.
